The time machine at Terminal C is officially open for business. A schematic design by Candy Lenk for Bauwerke Berlin.

During the opening ceremony in November of 2008, the first historical sightseeing and VIP-Shuttle flights took off from Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (SXF). Terminal C had been formerly used as a high security terminal for the Israeli El-Al Airline. Last year, a new structure was implanted into the existing terminal, creating new office spaces, waiting areas, ticket counters and a projection room. In addition, Terminal C has become an exclusive 850 m2 event location with a view of and direct access to the apron of the SXF airfield.
